Cuisinart Demonstration

Join us in Our Leeds store (84-86 Vicar Lane, Leeds LS1 7JH) from 10am until 4pm on Saturday 28th January for a fresh bread and soup demo.

A chef from Cuisinart will be instore demonstrating the Cuisinart Soup Maker and the Cuisinart Bread Machine with samples available to taste throughout the day.

On this day ONLY we will also be offering some discounts on the items used, the Soup Maker will be reduced from £140 to £120 and the Bread Machine from £150 to £120, these prices will also be available on the website.

Macmillan World's Biggest Coffee Morning

This year our stores in Leeds, Harrogate and Manchester (for address and contact details click here) will be participating in the Macmillan "Worlds Biggest Coffee Morning" on Saturday 1st October 2011. We will provide the espressos, cappuccinos, lattes and buns and cakes - all we ask is that you provide a donation (as large or as small as you like). All proceeds will go Macmillan cancer research.

York Food and Drink Festival - 16th - 25th September 2011

There are two principal elements to the event. Firstly Parliament Street (free entry) consists of the markets, demonstration area, beer tent and information point - a marquee will enclose the city's fountain in Parliament Street and make this an evening venue for events. Secondly there is both a day time and evening programme of events in York Guildhall, The Mansion House and in venues across York. The Great Yorkshire Show 2011 - 12/07/2011

The Great Yorkshire Show is the country’s leading agricultural event. Held in Harrogate from Tuesday 12 to Thursday 14 July 2011 over 125,000 visitors will enjoy this celebration of agriculture and country life.

Over 40 food producers will be in attendance at the event. Certainly the largest show on the calendar, and one not to be missed!

Leeds Loves Food 2011 - 01/07/2011 - 03/07/2011

Food lovers across Leeds should mark 1-3 July 2011 on their calendars as the city announces plans for the sixth Leeds Loves Food festival, which is set to be the biggest ever.

The Yorkshire Food and Drink Show will be the centrepiece of the innovative festival. A huge array of local producers, as well as stallholders from across the UK, will all offer something unique. More info to follow....

Open Farm Sunday 2011 - 12/06/2011

On Sunday 12 June 2011, various farms across Lincolnshire will be opening their gates to the public for the annual Open Farm Sunday This national event is a must for anyone interested in discovering how farmers produce our food, and the ways they care for our countryside.

Open Farm Sunday helps the public understand the story behind food and it’s link with nature, by encouraging them to be interactive and have some fun.

Each event is unique to the host farm. Some are on a large scale and include activities and mini farmers markets. Others are smaller events, catering for specific group visits.

Swinton Parks Alfresco Twilight Party - 29/05/2011

The event precedes the daytime Walking Food Festival which will take place on Sunday 29th May. The Twilight Party will combine live music with gourmet barbecue, real ale bar, cocktail bar and circus skills entertainments.

Malton Food Lovers Festival - 21/05/2011

The Malton Food Lovers Festival expands to a delicious weekend event for 2011, with a packed, first time, two day programme for both Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd May.

Ripe for growth the popular culinary event comes of age for 2011, offering a menu of innovative attractions to tempt the visiting and resident gourmet alike. Some 90 stalls, featuring regional specialities and local seasonal produce will be the central feature of this foodie festival in beautiful Ryedale, North Yorkshire. Organisers have also announced there will be an opportunity to watch surprise celebrities, alongside the region’s most admired chefs create regional and international dishes. And following the success of its first Beer Festival, a Beer, Wine and Drinks Festival will be on the menu to include tastings, flamboyant cocktail mixing, as well as an all day beer garden.

The Food Lovers Festival was launched in 2009 as a one day celebration of Malton’s top quality local food and drink specialist, producers, chefs, retailers and eateries to around 5000 visitors. For 2011 this quintessential market town will be part of the celebration with special offers, festival menus and enticing weekend attractions all in the pipeline, promising a delicious destination for all food lovers.
